The life settlement insurance association was designed to provide integrity and transparency to the life settlement industry. One of the oldest and largest organizations, Life Insurance Settlement Association or LISA as it is also known, represents participants in the life settlement industry.
The life settlement insurance association is aware of the reasons policyholders may want to cash in their life insurance policies. Many seniors are not prepared for the steep increase in premiums due to under performing policies or term insurance premiums that have now become totally unaffordable. Or some seniors may become ill and need the money they could receive from a life settlement to offset the costs of medical bills.
Over the years life settlements have become a mainstream tool for financial advisors and their clients. The life settlement insurance association can help provide information and transparency to the life settlement transaction.

The life settlement insurance association
or life insurance settlement association has been working for a number of years with business leaders, policy makers, regulators and consumers to try and some continuity to the settlement industry.
Many life settlement professionals are or have been at one time members of life settlement insurance association. In recent years a number of the life settlement professionals have relinquished their memberships due to the high cost that they were being charged to be members of the group. This is not to say that the life settlement insurance association is out dated, just that it is one more cost for a life settlement broker or producer that during these tough economic times had to be cut. The simple fact is that they have served the life settlement funders, life settlement broker, life settlement producer, the consumer and the business community quite well.
The life settlement insurance association is an entity that the industry leaders count on to keep us abreast of the ever changing rules and regulations that are occurring throughout the US. The life settlement insurance association
or life insurance settlement association (LISA) is a fee based group of life settlement providers, life settlement agents, life settlement brokers and life expectancy companies that are working together to gain exposure for the life settlement industry.
For many years life settlement brokers and funders have received bad press from the life insurance carriers and their lobbyists. Thus making it important that a life settlement insurance association be formed to combat the big money and big propaganda that this being put out to consumers regarding life settlements and get the truth out about the life settlement industry.
Essentially what the life settlement insurance association does is give a forum to life settlement brokers and providers to discuss laws that impact the industry as well as ways to get information to the public at large regarding the viability of life settlements as a way to receive money from a life insurance policy above the cash surrender value.
